Kitchenaid-oven-temperature-problem, as the oven temperature rises, the oven sensor creates greater resistance. if the sensor gives the wrong amount of resistance, the oven may not bake evenly. on some models, you can recalibrate the oven control up to 35 degrees fahrenheit higher or lower. refer to your owner’s manual for instructions on how to recalibrate the oven control.. Push and hold the "bake" button until the kitchenaid appliance shows a zero. press "bake" to raise and "broil" to decrease the temperature. for example, if you've set the oven to heat to 350 degrees and it shows an internal heat of 355 degrees, press "bake" until the panel displays 355 degrees., allow the oven to preheat completely, until the tone sounds and the indicator shows the oven has reached the set temperature. if your oven does not have a preheat indicator, preheat oven for 12 minutes. quickly place biscuits in oven. do not open the oven door to check the biscuits until the minimum time stated on the package..
Please re-inspect the model number and reply with the complete model number off the range/oven. based on the description i would suspect the temperature probe or the control may be your problem, however i would not take any action before sending the correct model number so i can reply with more accurately, i have a kitchen aid dual fual 36 oven that i bought last fall from lowes (though it was only just recently installed). model # kdrs467vss. the second time i used it, i realized it wasnt always getting up to temperature. my first couple batches of cookies took 10 minutes, a normal amount of time.....
